About Terminal 3
The LAX Terminal 3 was opened in 1961 and renovated in 2014. Since November 2020, the terminal has been temporarily closed for reconstruction. It is expected to be open again in mid-2022. The pace in reconstruction was high due to less air travel during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Security Screening Areas
Terminal 3 has CLEAR, Premium, and General Screening. These security screening areas are available at gates 31-39 from 04:15 AM to 01:00 AM.
Airlines
Delta Air Lines exclusively use LAX Terminal 3. Other airlines that check-in at the terminal is as follows:
- Avianca
- Copa
- Interjet
- Virgin Australia
Departures
The boarding gates for terminal 3 are from 30 to 139. These Departure levels include TSA Security Check.
Parking
LAX offers economy parking options for travelers and taxi owners.
Lounges
There are a total of only two lounges available at terminal 3. Following are the lounges available:
- Delta Sky Club (North)
- Delta Sky Club (South)
These lounge areas are peaceful and comfortable for travelers.
Restaurants
There are several Restaurants, Fast Food, and Snacks Corners available at the LAX Terminal 3. They include the following:
- Ashland Hill
- Deli & Co
- LA Life
- Earthbar
- La Familia
- Starbucks
- Panda Express
- Shake Shack
- The Parlor
All these outlets are located at the airside departures in the terminal.
Between Terminals
There are several ways to transfer between the terminals. Either by walking across the terminals or by using the shuttles provided by the terminals to transport the passengers.
